Tbilisi nightlife scene is booming for the past three years and today, you can find more attractive and unique places to hang out. Georgians like to go out and enjoy their evening and especially to sit and chat with friends at the table. During the summer season, most bars are open on weekdays although the real magic happens on the weekends. The rest of the year it is recommended to go out on Fridays to Sundays. Now that you ready for a night out in Tbilisi, we will make sure you avoid "tourist traps", here is a list of the most recommended bars in Tbilisi.

Amodi

The word Amodi in Georgian means to go up and it is quite appropriate in light of the road that leading the bar. To get there, you will have to climb up hill in the magical streets of Meidani which is one of the most touristic areas in Tbilisi. When you enter the bar and see the stunning terrace that exposes you to Rike Park and the Mtkvari River, you will find that the ascent was not as difficult as you thought (in the winter the terrace is covered). Open every day from 18:00 to 01:00.

Art Cafe

The bar is located in the city center and consists of 3 different floors with different room design so that with each room you pass there is a feeling that you are entering a new bar. On the top floor there is a terrace with an amazing view (where smoking is allowed). In ART CAFE, you can enjoy live shows and local DJ's who come to play during the evening. This is one of the most special places in Tbilisi nightlife scene and accordingly, the prices are also slightly higher than most of the standard places but it is totally worth it. The bar was chosen by the British newspaper "The Guardian" as one of the hottest rooftop bar in Europe. Open daily from 17:00 to 02:00.

Bauhaus

A special bar with a diverse and hipster crowd that is divided into 2 parts. The first, on the top floor with a huge window that provides a panoramic view. The second, on the entrance floor with an outdoor seating area that blends in with Dedaena Park where people usually meet on weekends. most of days, the music here is electronic so make sure you love it before getting there. This is a nice place to visit during the summer because in the winter, the bar functions indoors and the magic is not the same. The atmosphere in the bar is a combination of local and colorful tourists that usually dance in the plaza and even on the tables. Open daily from 15:00 to 05:00.

Politika

Politika is Bauhaus's younger and more sophisticated sister which run by the same group. The modern interior of the bar contrasts with its gray exterior. On some weekends bands are hosted and live music can be heard. The place specializes in cocktails and quality alcohol but also offers fine and up-to-date food that will accompany the atmosphere. Open daily from 12:00 to 02:00 while in the afternoon the place offers its customers excellent food and great lunch.

Ambavi

In a super central area and within walking distance of Liberty Square hides a cool bar on the first floor of a residential building. You can hear about the bar if you know some locals as it became an excellent weekend getaway. With a terrace overlooking the street for smokers and different music types, the clash of design styles results in a colorful and beloved bar among locals and tourists. The bar is open from 18:00 to 04:00 daily but is especially worth visiting on weekends. An cool place to sit and have fun with friends while in Tbilisi.

41 Gradus

This is the best cocktail bar in Georgia! The place opened after a $ 35,000 crowdfunding campaign and promised to distribute 30% of its profits to charity. The founder, Roman Milostivy, who has worked in the best cocktail bars in the world, offers an unforgettable experience in a small and intimate bar in a basement with a great alcohol menu and endless knowledge for any question that comes to mind. Not sure what to choose? No problem, there are also small tastings to make it easier for you. Open daily from 19:00 until the final customer leaves.

Cocktail Factory

Inside one of the trendiest complexes to spend your weekend when in Tbilisi, with endless options for restaurants and bars, lies a gem worth a visit - Cocktail Factory. The bartenders have extensive knowledge just in case something interests you about the cocktails. Lots of locals and tourists get together in this trendy area and enjoy all the options the place has to offer so you can try a number of bars without moving too much. Especially worth a visit on the weekend, open daily from 20:00 until there are no people left.

Woland's Speakeasy

The bar is located in an impressive basement that will take you back to the happy 50's. This is one of the places you will know only by a local who that will guide you in. The place is very popular by tourists as well as locals because almost every night you will find a unique entertainment activity such as live music, bar games, theme nights and more. Try some cocktails that are carefully served, they know their business.

Fabrika

A fun complex to spend time in during a night out in Tbilisi as well as during the morning or afternoon. the complex offers a number of restaurants, boutique shops, bars, graffiti paintings and more. This is a place where you can find tourists from all over the world who came for a vacation in Georgia and the atmosphere in it is very special and meticulous. There are lots of different seating areas with a unique design, the prices are quite fair and the overall experience, one of the special ones you will experience on your trip. Open from 12:00 noon daily until the late hours of the night (the place is getting full around 22:00 - 23:00).
