Kutaisi, the capital of Imerti region, is the third largest city in Georgia. Few years ago, the city served as the home of the Georgian parliament for which a unique structure was built. An international airport was established in Kutaisi several years ago, which led to a larger number of visitors and external investments that developed the city. One of the largest Jewish communities in Georgia was found in Kutaisi before the dissolution of the Soviet Union and immigration that came after it.
